Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection
Summer beauty collections make me smile. Take Estee Lauder’s lovely new Bronze Goddess Collection for 2013. Every year this collection is lovely, this year it has some stunning elements, quirky products, and gorgeous colours which just scream summer.
Let’s start by talking about the absolutely brilliant retro-cool rollerball lip glosses. The Limited Edition Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss in Succulent and Squeeze (£17) feature a metal roller ball applicator, and look exactly like the rollerball products of my teenage years, back in the 1980s! They contains a fresh formula of fruit extracts for lips that look hydrated and supple – they’re lightly flavoured with a hint of either Passion Fruit or Guava Lychee, and are just fantastic.
At the heart of the colour collection is, as always, the eyeshadow palette. The Limited Edition Pure Color Gelée Powder EyeShadow Palette in Batik Sun (£35) is lovely – gorgeous deep aqua green with bronzed golds and neutrals to complement. The Limited Edition Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelée in Heat Wave (£30) is first in my holiday makeup bag when I go – this is just fabulous, blendable, buildable, and gives gorgeous luminosity to sun-kissed skin. The Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Limited Edition Solar Crush and Fuchsia Fever (£19.50) are beautiful, zingy, summer-bright tropical colours. Mix or match them with the Limited Edition Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Hot Spell (£14.50).
The collection has two bronzers – Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer (£30) and Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Luminous Liquid Bronzer (£30).
The Powder Bronzer is in a gorgeous tortoiseshell compact, and now comes in Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep – excellent for varying skintones, brilliant for contouring, and gives a gorgeous shimmer to face, decolletage, or shoulders. The Liquid Bronzer is luminising, and gives a beautiful, light, bronzed finish to your skin.
Finally, the excellent Sumptuous Extreme Mascara now comes in a Waterproof version (£22) in Extreme Black. Perfect for holidays – you get the same gorgeous, long, fuller lashes, in the pool and out.
