Sisley's new So Intense Mascara

SisleyMascaraOkay, this mascara is £38. Yes, that’s £38. Is any mascara worth £38? Some might ask if mascara is worth £10, or £20. The difference of course, is in the ingredients. And the difference with Sisley’s new So Intense Mascara is that it has skincare benefits. If you already buy one of those lash treatments, and you use that under your regular mascara, combined you may be spending more than £38!

This mascara has  unique skincare benefits which improve the length and thickness of bare lashes in only four  weeks – that is Sisley’s claim. I have been using it for about three weeks now, and I haven’t noticed many eyelashes falling out, that’s definite. (I’m lacking wishes though! Do you do that?!)

So why is this mascara so special? Well, it contains various ingredients, like Vitamin H or biotin, renowned for the treatment of hair loss, as well as strengthening botanical skin ceramides, and polymers and Carnauba wax, and Silica microbeads for coating and lengthening.

It really does lengthen the lashes – and the comb brush, which looks lethal at first glance, is kind to the eyes, and easy to use. I loved Clinique’s High Lengths comb – this is more of a comb-brush, smaller bristles, tightly packed, it sweeps through the lashes, gets to the root.

The smudge test? It doesn’t move. It smudged a touch on the lower lashes, but on the top – nothing. The colour is an intense, bold, glossy black. It also comes in Deep Brown and Deep Blue.

If you love mascaras, and are also into lash treatments, then give this a go, and you won’t be disappointed.
