Red Nose Day?! Red Nails, Lips and Hair Day!

It’s Red Nose Day, today – that’s Comic Relief – so we’ll all be settling down for an evening of TV hilarity tonight, and donating to the charity. Folks do all sorts of crazy things for Red Nose Day, some even dye their hair bright red…(and no, that’s not how I chose my colour!)

To celebrate Red Nose Day, I’ll be taking my love of red from my hair, to my lips, to my nails, and maybe even my outfit. For me, there are so many amazing red lipsticks and nail colours to chose from it is hard to come down to just one of each, but I have done just that…so, drum roll please…my absolute favourite reds!

For nails, it has to be nothing else, but Revlon Red Nail Polish (£6.49, boots.com). The colour is a brilliant, bold true red, it’s easy to apply, and Revlon polish is really good at not chipping for a few days. What else can you ask for in a nail colour?

Lipstick is a wee bit harder. There are so many available, at different prices, and different textures, and finishes. I had to think about one that was always in my makeup bag, and was one I always went back to when I needed a red lip in a hurry. And it’s a total bargain lipstick. it’s Barry M lipstick in 121 – Pillar Box Red.

I love this lipstick, it’s £4.49, at superdrug.com, and is a brilliant, orange-toned, creamy matte red. I’ve gone through loads of these over the years, despite having hundreds of other reds at my disposal, it’s always my go-to shade.
