Leona Lewis firmly believes in the same principles as The Body Shop, and is thrilled about her collaboration, saying: “I’m so excited to present my first ever make up collection, designed to celebrate cruelty-free beauty at The Body Shop. With two on-trend looks to suit every skin tone from fair to dark, high shine lip glosses and a wild, liberating fragrance, you’ll go wild!”. She’s a vegetarian and has said in the past:  “I’m totally against animal cruelty…I don’t have clothes, shoes or bags made from animal products.” Leona also once turned down a huge sum of money, rumoured to be around £1 million to preside over the Harrods sale launch, because she didn’t want to be associated with a store that sells real fur.

Her collection comprises of four products, all of them with a cute little deer design on the packaging. The Hero product is the Shimmer Palette (£16) which comes in Blush and Bronze, each of them featuring three shimmering shades of pressed powder – use alone or blended together to contour cheekbones and highlight temples. Tailor made for the palettes is the fab pink and black Blusher Brush (£14), a big, chunky, round-tipped brush, brilliant for sculpting, blending and dusting. The super-soft synthetic hairs are 100% cruelty-free.

The Lip Gloss (£7) comes in four shades, bronze, coral, petal and fuchsia, all of them with a sweet mint flavour, all of them guaranteed to give you a gorgeous glaze of high-shine, sheer lip colour. And finally, the fragrance, White Musk Libertine (from £10) a sensual little scent with an intoxicating blend of musks at its top, heart and base with sweet notes of Turkish delight, baby orchid and Chantilly cream.

Available as Eau de Toilette (30ml, 60ml) and Eau de Parfum (30ml). And did you know The Body Shop’s classic White Musk® fragrance, launched in 1981,  was one of the first-ever cruelty-free musk fragrances, featuring man-made musk instead of the scent from the glands of a male musk deer. Today, all of their  products are 100% vegetarian and 100% cruelty-free.
