Rouge Eclat - Clarins Colour for Spring
One of the best bits about being a beauty journalist is laying eyes on all the new Spring collections when it’s still winter – most of them hit the counters in January/February, brightening us up after the glittery festive season is over.
Clarins always have beautiful colour collections; stunning embossed palettes, neutral and bold colours, and innovative new products. This new collection, Rouge Eclat, is no different. Inspired by the multi-coloured tones and satin feel of the beautiful Iris flowers, this new collection offers on-trend colours, and freshness.
The Limited Edition Face & Blush Powder (£30) is the hero product, and ideal for all skin tones. Embossed with an iris flower, it has a trio of fresh, complexion boosting shades to give skin a beautiful, even tone. The Light-Optimizing + Complex reduces the appearance of wrinkles and imperfections to leave the skin looking even and radiant. There is also a Mineral Loose Powder (£30) available in three shades.
My favourite piece is the Eye Quartet Mineral Palette (£30), which has four shimmering mineral eye shades, embossed with the iris. They include an intense plum, white highlighter and a deep black liner. The Gloss Prodige (£15.50) comes in two shades, Water Lily and Vibrant Rose, and makes lips look naturally fuller thanks to the exclusive Clarins Maxi Lip peptide with hyaluronic acid.
There’s also a new Rouge Eclat Lipstick (£18.50), which comes in three shade categories; Subtle Nudes, Rich & Warm and Vibrant Brights, with five shades in each. The lipstick is the first age-defying lipstick from Clarins! Yes, it’s anti-ageing lipstick! And it is lovely, presented in gorgeous gold casing.
