Anything new from Tom Ford sparks my interest – what a gorgeous beauty brand he has! The latest launch, in time for Valentine’s Day (yes, it’s on its way!), is the new Tom Ford Lip Color Shine – a range of new lipsticks, whcih are semi-transparent, with a high-shine.
“Lips are a woman’s most alluring and sensual feature. Luminous, semitransparent lip colour is seductive in a very kissable way”, says Tom Ford.
The lovely Lip Color Shine collection features a range of shades across three palettes – nude, romantic and vivid. The nudes are Nubile, a rose nude, Abandon, a light tan, and Bare, a beige hue. The romantics take you across a pink spectrum, and the shades are Chastity, a blush pink, Smitten, a honeysuckle pink, Quiver, a light blue pink, Frolic, a pink peach, and Insidious, an apricot. The two vivid shades are Willful, an orange red shade, and Ravenous,a hot cerise pink.
The colours are sheer, but also very buildable. Three layers of Willful creates a beautiful wash of bold red – perfect for the spring summer when perhaps a matte red is too much. The lipsticks glide on effortlessly, and are best worn without liner, as a stain or wash. They’re really conditioning, instantly moisturising, and of course include Tom Ford’s signature blend of rare ingredients, including soja seed extract,Brazilian murumuru butter and chamomilla flower oil.
They’re like a slim, elongated version of the original Tom Ford Lipsticks, in the same beautiful packaging.
They’ll be at Tom Ford Beauty Color counters nationwide from February, priced £36 each. In Scotland you can find them at House of Fraser in Glasgow and Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh.
