Laura Mercier goes Arabesque for Spring

1 min read

Laura Mercier are one of those funny brands, in my opinion, that have a core following, and for the rest of us, they flit in and out of our minds. They are a fabulous, makeup artist-led beauty brand, who have gorgeous body souffle creams, and excellent makeup, and perhaps we should pay the more ongoing attention!

This lovely Spring trend is called ‘Arabesque‘ and, I am told, when creating it, Laura was inspired  by “the spirit of light and movement. From the sweet nuance of a ballerina to the fluid moves of yoga and dance, she interpreted motion into a colour palette that is soft, ethereal and beautiful.

The colour palette is a lovely spring blend of pinks, blues and neutrals. Lips, cheeks and nails are softly romantic, highlighted in subtle pinks. Eyes wear a gentle palette of semi-matte shades, with colours from blue to blush, and are lined in shades of blue, and accented by full lashes in blue or black.

The lovely Free Spirit Baked Eye Palette (£30) is the hero product of the collection, and has five wearable shades. There is a new Nail Polish (£15.50) called En Pointe, in a perfect ballerina pink, and gorgeous new Creme Cheek Colour (£20.50) in two shades.  The Navy Slate is a new shade of the Faux Lash Mascara (£18.50) which also comes in black, and there are various lovely lip products, from Lip Stains to glosses, prices from £16.50 to £20.

Laura Mercier Arabesque Collection is available now at various Laura Mercier locations, nationwide, including Space NK, House of Fraser and John Lewis
