Universal Contour Wrap Self Slim Kit - weight loss wrap review

When a lovely PR colleague  contacted me about this Universal Contour Wrap Self Slim Kit, I had to agree to give it a go. I’d actually seen it on MTV’s outrageous reality show, Geordie Shore, just that week – well, the salon version anyway. Charlotte loudly proclaimed she had lost ten inches. I was impressed, and intrigued.

So, I gave the home kit a go. There are many things about this kit that I really didn’t like, but I will begin by saying that if there was any difference around my midriff it was about one centimetre. I will however also say that I am not sure if I used enough of the Slim Clay. Mainly because it is extremely cold to apply, and quite runny, and I just wasn’t quite sure if I had enough on or not.

Anyway, here’s how you sue this home body wrap kit – measure the area you are going to treat, soak the bandages in warm water, apply the skin clay to the areas you are going to bandage, bandage those areas, leave for an hour, wash off any remnants, measure again.

The reality of it for me was like this:

Applied the slim clay, swore at how cold it was, and cursed it as it dripped on the floor, due to it’s runny texture.

Once I had enough on, applied the first bandage, which had by this point, gone a little lukewarm and was freezing to the skin.

Applied bandages to cover the area with clay, then realised they were quite wet and water was dripping down my legs.

Wrapped a towel around my body, and then put on my dressing gown. Felt wet and cold, and didn’t know what to do.

Put another towel down on my computer chair, and browsed the net for an hour. Took bandages off, washed away clay in a hot shower, measured.

One centimetre. Wondered if it was all worth it.

So. It’s quite a frustrating, messy process. You can re-use the bandages, they washed easily, and to be honest, I didn’t need to use half of them for the area I was working on. I might give it another go in the new year, see if I can perhaps make my experience a bit better second time around.
