I spent some time with The Body Shop’s International Makeup Artist, Chase Aston (who has made over TONS of celebrities in his time, including Cameron Diaz, Eva Herzigova, Milla Jovovic, Claudia Schiffer and Britney Spears, to name just a few!), in London the other week, previewing their Christmas and Winter Trend ranges. I asked him to give me his Top Six Body Shop products, to share with you.

1. The Body Shop All-in-One BB cream (£12) ” BB creams are everywhere, and I really do rate ours. It’s great for all skin tones, and creates a natural looking base, ” says Chase. “It comes in three shades, and the pigment filled capsules in it burst upon contact with the skin, and release the colour, which blends perfectly to your skin tone.”

2. Skin Primer  – Matte It (£12).”I LOVE this product, ” says Chase. “It is brilliant as a powder alternative, apply it before your base product where shine might bother you. it’s easy to use, and it works. I use this on all of my shoots, it really heps create a flawless complexion.”

3. All-in-One Blusher (£8) “This is fantastic, it’s extra fine to the touch, and is buildable. You can always add more, but it’s hard to take away too much blusher, and with this that won’t happen,” says Chase. “I love Bubblegum and Guava shades, and Cookie or Macaroon for warmer complexions. it’s a great product at a great price.”

4. Limited Edition Smoky Eye Palette in Smoky Moonstone (£14). “This is a twist on the smoky eye which encapsulates that new metallics trend that is huge for this Autumn Winter. The texture of the shadows is amazing, and it comes with a step-by-step guide on how to create the smoky eye,” says Chase. “These shades allow you to be a bit alternative with a classic look.”

5. Shimmer Cube Palette in Blue/Grey (£16) “Shimmer Cubes are amazing, everyone should have one,” says Chase. “For me, the blue/grey with its stunning shades is perfect for creating something dramatic, alternative, retro, you name it; something with a bit of oomph for the party season.Use it wet or dry, play about with it, and come up with all sorts of looks.”

6. Carbon Eye Definer in Blue (£9) “Soft, easy to use, and the blue is by far my favourite,” says Chase. “Line your eyes with this, and add some of the blue from the Shimmer Cube palette on top to create an amazing blue line for a quirky and simple look  – wow! You will love it, trust me!”
