30 Shades of Double Wear!

2 min read

Estee Lauder have added lots of new shades to their Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation, and I learned a little trick for putting it on last week, from their brilliant international makeup artist, Alan Pan.

If you’ve tried Double Wear you will know that it is a medium coverage, buildable foundation which is oil-free, and can be a bit well, not to pliable when you apply it. I have always found it a little tight, having quite dry skin, but Alan recommends mixing it with, not a daily moisturiser like you might think, but Lauder’s hero product, Advanced Night Repair! I was quite surprised, but it worked well, giving me a more luminous finish, a lighter finish and less of the tight feeling.

There are now 30 shades to choose from in the Stay-in-Place foundation, in warm, cool and neutral tones. I have been using 1N1 Ivory Nude, and it’s pretty perfect for my skin tone  which really is neutral. If you’re not sure, go to any Estee Lauder counter and you can be matched for the perfect shade for you.

Estee Lauder’s independent surveys recently revealed that a whopping 94% of women are wearing the wrong foundation shade! That’s quite incredible, don’t you think? Armed with my foundation brush, my Double Wear and my Advanced Night repair, I won’t be one of them!
