Winter Rituals...

If you haven’t discovered the brand, Rituals, then you are in for a treat. They do everything! Makeup, bodycare, home products, washing up liquid and even tea! They’re a lovely brand with a very, er, spiritual message. I’m not sure I am really truly into the whole thing, but I do really rate their makeup. Their new collection for winter is called Metropolitan Boulevard, and has been inspired by the cities of New York, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro – those ‘bustling metropolis’ types.

It’s a pretty full on colour palette, but it’s actually much more subtle than on first glance. The bold lip colours are actually Lip Shine (£12 each) in red, berry and neutral, that give just a slick of uber-shiny colour. The Baked Eyeshadow Palettes (£19) come in two colourways – one with more muted green tones, the other with bold blue at the heart.

Nail Polish (£9.50) is bold in Sparkling Coral, Winter Blue or Night Out Black, and there is a Perfect Volume Mascara to match, in Black. (£13). It’s a simple collection, made from simple ingredients – Rituals precious mineral makeup is enriched with the power or ground gemstones such as ruby, amethyst and sapphire. On the inside of the box of the red lipstick for instance, it says ‘ruby gives energy and passion.’

So, maybe it’s time to make Rituals part of our beauty ritual?! Sorry, couldn’t resit.
