Crabtree & Evelyn's new Evelyn Rose

I LOVE rose fragrances, and the re-engineered Evelyn Rose from Crabtree & Evelyn is stunning. It’s a re-work  of the original scent, infused with a ‘crisp airiness’. To my nose, that translates as a really fresh, rose scent. Not cloying at all, as some can be, not overly strong, just a gorgeous, softer fresher rose than the one created twenty years ago. There is a real rose named Evelyn Rose, cultivated by English rose expert David Austin for the range. It’s a gorgeous rose, powder pink, and has so many petals it’s almost  peony-like.

I love the fact, however, that the packaging still retains a vintage, old-school feel. It’s so charming, and looks wonderful in the bathroom, and the antique gold satin metallised bottle with gold cartouche finishing looks stunning on any dressing table!

I’ve been using the Body Lotion (£18) and Bath & Shower Gel (£16) recently, and the Solid Perfume Compact (£30) is stunning. It comes in a little pouch, and is just lovely to pop into your handbag. The collection also has Hand Therapy (£14), Body Cream (£30) and of course the EDP (£45).
