Targeted anti-ageing from M&S

2 min read

Marks and Spencer have a great anti-ageing skincare range for anyone aged 30 and up. It’s called Formula, and it is divided into four categories, Age Defence for 30+ years in pink packaging, Age Repair for 40+ in silver packaging, Age Replenish for 50+ in gold packaging, and Age Restore for 60+ in bronze packaging. Great idea, don’t you think?

The Age Restore range in particular is a great idea, tailored to a market that is sometimes ignored by beauty companies. Each range also has these excellent targeted treatment pens (the 50+ Age Replenish pen is coming soon), which zero in on any areas you feel need extra attention. So, that might be around the eyes, or the laughter lines round the mouth, or wrinkles and fine lines around the top lip.

Formula Skin Care Age Defence Targeted Concentrate (£9.50), for 30+ skin tackles the first signs of ageing and treats emerging lines and wrinkles with a blend of vitamin C and white tea.

Formula Skin Care Age Repair Targeted Concentrate (£12) for 40+ skin, has a blend of active ingredients, including ceramides, to ensure skin stays firmed and hydrated whilst visibly smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. The ceramide fortified complex helps rebuild the skin’s structure and replenish moisture levels.

Formula Formula Skin Care Age Restore Targeted Concentrate (£15) provides nourishing care for more mature skin. A blend of ingredients, including omegas 3, 6 and 9 from evening primrose and blackcurrant seed oils help replenish lost lipids, nourish and rehydrate the skin, as well as improving the skin’s resilience.

Each pen has a twist action that releases just the right amount of the concentrate onto a cooling metal rollerball – be prepared for the cold feeling upon application! I’ve tried the pen for my age bracket, Age Repair, and it is quick and easy to use, although I can’t say yet whether it is effective or not. I’ve given my mum the Age Restore pen and she loves it, just targeting the places she feels she needs it the most.

Formula Skin Care Range, including the Concentrate pens,  is available now at Marks and Spencer stores and marksandspencer.com
