Kiehl's - biggest store in Europe for Edinburgh

2 min read

Last week I enjoyed some gorgeous cocktails (Appletinis and Cosmos from Edinburgh’s Tonic Bar!) at the launch party for the new Kiehl’s  store in the refurbished Assembly Rooms building in Edinburgh’s George Street.

Kiehl’s is a New York brand (hence the cocktails!), founded in 1851  in the East Village as an apothecary. In the early decades of the 20th century, Kiehl’s was a full-service pharmacy, offering customers homeopathic and herbal remedies, essential oils, over-the-counter drugs, and the first Kiehl’s brand name products.

Today, Kiehl’s is dedicated to giving customers quality skin care and hair care products based on the most advanced science and utilising unique, natural ingredients.

Their products are filled with mostly naturally derived ingredients and they use minimal preservatives. They offer skin consultations, and my friend Sarah was more than happy with hers – she ended up purchasing the Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub (£24). (On the night a percentage of the proceeds went to CCLASP, a local Edinburgh children’s charity.)

The new store in Edinburgh is the biggest freestanding Kiehl’s in Europe! And it is also the only one outside of New York to have the most brilliant Men’s Shave Area – so guys, get down there.

It’s a gorgeous store, has a friendly ethos, and great products. Visit kiehls.co.uk for more information, and get down to the Edinburgh store if you can!
