In the Night Garden with Tom Ford

Tom Ford’s gorgeous new Jardin Noir Private Blend collection is a much more sophisticated Night Garden than the kid’s TV programme, that’s for sure! This beautiful new Private Blend range is stunning; dark and mysterious, sensual and heady, the dark side of the garden, says Tom.

“Flowers can have a dark enchantment. Their beauty can be so extreme that it has a narcotic effect on the senses and a decadence that feels almost illicit.”

There are four new fragrances – Jonquille De Nuit, Ombre De Hyacinth, Cafe Rose and Lys Fume. They are beautiful, heady, dark takes on floral scents, Narcissus, Hyacinth, Rose and Lily.

My absolute favourite of the four is Jonquille De Nuit. It’s the narcissus scent – that’s a daffodil – and it is absolutely stunning. It smells SO intensely like a daffodil, I was stunned!

Of course, it’s a heady version of daffodil, with top notes of Alpine cyclamen, acacia and angelica seeds, a heart of the narcissus, with violet leaf and bitter orange leaf absolute, and a base of orris and warm amber.

If you haven’t experienced Tom Ford Private Blend yet, then get yourself to the counters in Frasers, Glasgow, or Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh and have a play about. The whole range is stunning. The 50ml bottles are around £120 upwards, but the perfume scents are intense, and the 50ml bottle lasts a long time.

The counters themselves are beautiful and the staff are extremely helpful. The cosmetics are gorgeous and you can have a makeover on counter.

Tom Ford Private Blend Jardin Noir fragrances will be on counter from September, priced £135 for 50ml, and £300 for 250ml. Available at all Tom Ford Private Blend counters.
