Fall 2012 from NARS

Another gorgeous Fall (or Autumn to me and you) makeup collection landed on my desk last week – the beautiful NARS Fall 2012 Colour Collection, featuring this beautiful campaign image of 90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy.  We featured Kristen in a post on this blog earlier this year when she worked with MAC – she’s a woman in demand!

For NARS, founder and Creative Director Francois Nars created a beautiful look on Kristen with his collection, which features a blend of bold, modern shades and celestial shimmers.

To get this look, Kristen’s skin was perfected with Siberia Sheer Matte Foundation (£29.50) and set with Snow Loose Powder (£26.50) to create an immaculate complexion. Next, the Undress Me Multiple (£29) was applied to the hollows of the cheeks and blended toward the temples with fingertips.

Kristen’s top and bottom lashes were thickly lined in Black Moon Eyeliner Pencil (£16) and the entire lid was coloured in with the pencil in a half moon shape, from the lash line to the base of the brown bone and out towards the temple. The pencil colour was blended with a fingertip to create a smooth base. Then, the iridescent amethyst shade from the High Society Trio Eyeshadow  (£33, Limited Edition)was applied to the lid and the colour extended to the brow bone and towards the outer corner of the the brow.

The edge of this shade was blended into the lavender shade from the palette, and then both sides of Vent Glace Duo Eyeshadow (£24) were combined and applied to the lower lash line on top of Black Moon. The eyes were lined with Via Veneto Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner  (£17) and finished with two coats of Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara (£18.50).

Kristen’s lips were lined and filled in with cinnamon Papua Lip Liner Pencil (£15.50), blended for a softer effect, and topped with Belize Lip Gloss (£17.50). Storm Bird Nail Polish (£14, Limited Edition) completed the look.
