Beauty Bargain of the Week - Johnson's Baby Oil

2 min read

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

So, this week it’s an old favourite of mine. There was a time when there was ALWAYS a bottle of Johnson’s Baby Oil in my shower, because I used it as a body moisturiser, applying it when my skin was still wet, before I got out the shower every day. I don’t know why I stopped this, and recently I have been doing similar with another body oil.

I am a lazy beauty editor, it has to be said. I have little time or desire to try out loads of body moisturisers, and even though I love Jergens (last week’s bargain), I do forget to apply.

If you are the same, then give Johnson’s  a go. Applying it to wet skin locks in the moisture, and after years of using it, I have to say that i don’t ever suffer from dry elbows or knees.

It comes in four different types now, there’s the original Johnson’s Baby Oil (comes in four sizes, 100ml, 200ml, 300ml & 500ml, from £1.25 to £3.56), then there’s Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Oil (300ml, £2.61) which has calming aromas, and is great to apply if you’re a fan of evening showers or baths. Or try Johnson’s Baby Oil with Aloe Vera (300ml, £2.61), whcih has skin soothing qualities, or  Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel with Camomile (200ml, £3.45). Be careful with the last one – you really don’t need a lot of the gel at all.

If you want smooth skin, and are a wee bit lazy about it (or just busy, that sounds better!), then I’d suggest giving Johnson’s Baby Oil a go.

Available at Boots, Superdrug, supermarkets and chemists
