Darphin's Satin Body Oil

1 min read

I love body oils. I have dry skin, and body butters and moisturisers sometimes just don’t cut it. But, I find a body oil, applied to damp skin before I get out of the shower always leaves my skin soft and smooth – at least until the next day.

So, when I received the new Darphin Nourishing Satin Oil, I was happy to give it a go. It’s a dry oil formula, so it doesn’t have that ‘oily’ feel and it is jam-packed full of essential oils ready to provide the skin with the ultimate nourishment and moisture, or so say Darphin! I do love Darphin products. They are really very good, and this smells fabulous, with notes of vanilla and jasmine.

It contains 99 per cent of ingredients from natural origin, which is always a good thing. Darphin tell you to apply it using ‘upward, gliding strokes’. I guess that means don’t just rub it on!

The formula combines four lipid-replenishing oils – Inca inchi, Safflower, Sesame and Sweet Almond Oil.

In addition, Red Ginger Essential Oil enhances the formula by protecting the skin from external aggressors, with its powerful anti-oxidant benefits.

My skin did feel lovely and smooth and nourished after using – no less than I would expect from a Darphin product – and let’s be honest they’re not the cheapest around. If you haven’t tried a body oil yet, then give this a go.
