Beauty and Fashion Masterclasses in Edinburgh this weekend

There’s a little mini ‘Summer Solstice‘ festival going on this weekend in Edinburgh. It’s the West End Summer Solstice, with comedians, fashion, music, beauty and shopping. There are two masterclasses you lovely 5pm Health and Beauty readers might be interested in.

First up on Friday at House of Fraser on Princes Street, there’s a Make Up Masterclass with Monica George. As part of the West End Summer Solstice festival, from 4-5pm, you can attend this  beauty master class from Edinburgh based celebrity make up expert Monica George. As well as beauty campaigns, magazine covers and fashion assignments, Monica has created looks for celebrities such as Susan Sarandon, Davina McCall and Natasha Beddingfield and will show how you can create the latest make up trends while guests enjoy refreshments provided by Vladivar vodka.

On Saturday, it’s time for some fashion tips from celebrity stylist Lindsay Campbell at her Style Session , again from  from 4-5pm, this time at Sygn, the capital’s original style bar situated in the city’s Charlotte Lane. Lindsay will be showcasing the hottest summer fashion trends taken straight from the catwalks, and using products from West End boutiques, Lindsay will guide fashionistas through festival looks, hot summer trends and how to create this season’s key catwalk looks.

It’s FREE to go to either event, but you do have to pay £1 (redeemable) to book through the Facebook page.
