Limited Edition Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel

2 min read

I am going to admit that I had never tried the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, which is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year,  until recently. I am also going to admit that I was going to send it out to a tester to try, but after a few weeks of cold/flu/bronchitis/feelingrough, I felt my own skin needed a little pick-me-up. So, I decided to use it myself.

And boy, am I glad I did. I’ve read loads of reviews of this product – all of them raving about it, and I have to say I’m now going to join them. If you haven’t tried it, and your skin is feeling a little bit dry, dehydrated and generally dull, then buy it.

Papaya Enzyme Peel uses the natural fruit enzyme Papain, extracted from crushed Papaya and Pineapple, sourced from Africa, to gently dissolve superficial dead skin cells. You simply apply it over your skin and leave it for around 10-12 minutes and then remove it with a damp cloth. I put it on when I was in the bath, and it felt great. It wasn’t tingly, it wasn’t overly tight, and afterwards my skin just felt refreshed. Essentially it’s an exfoliator, but there is no need for rubbing it in, and so for more mature and delicate complexions, it is perfect.

And for the 10th Anniversary, the peel comes in Limited Edition packaging, designed by British artist, Laura Oakes, and for every product sold, Elemis will provide a 5-in-1 Pentavalent vaccine to immunise a child in Africa against five of the most common diseases through the charity SOCO, which works around the globe to alleviate poverty and associated disadvantages in underprivileged societies.

So many reasons to buy it this weekend!
