Tom Ford's Spring Makeup Collection

1 min read

I had a lovely hour at the Tom Ford counter last week, having the new Spring Collection applied. This Limited Edition collection is the first seasonal addition to the main Tom Ford makeup collection which launched last year.

It is beautiful – metallic based, small, and hugely effective on its own, or used in conjunction with various products from the core collection.

Designed to achieve the look of sensuous, warm radiance, Tom Ford says: “I have always loved the look of tanned, glowing skin, whether it is achieved with bronzing powder or with a natural tan.”

There are four shades of Cream Colour for Eyes (£28)Guilt, Illicit, Platinum and Spice. I had Illicit applied – a gorgeous deep bronze/brown which I wouldn’t normally go for, but once on, and mixed with shades from the Burnished Amber Eye Color Quartet (62). I had the lovely, non-sticky, gold Lip Lacquer (£25) applied over my red lipstick and it looked stunning. I was already wearing my favourite Flush Cheek Colour (£45), but there are two new shades for Spring – Love Lust and Savage.

I didn’t get my hands on the Nail Colour (£25) but I will make it my mission to try out the Gold Haze – how beautiful is it on the campaign image?! The other three nail shades are Burnished Rouge, Burnt Topaz and Silver Smoke.

The collection is on Tom Ford Private Blend counters now, and online at selfridges.com and harveynichols.com. And look out for news of another gorgeous summer makeup product and a new take on a fragrance very soon!
