Summer shimmer!

My mum and dad are heading off to the sun this Friday, lucky them. I’m also heading away for a few days, but to Milan where I have family, and where the weather is currently as wet as here (albeit about ten degrees warmer).

So, there will be no tanning time for me, but if you are heading off on holiday, or you just want to add a bit of shimmer, then here are two brilliant products which will do just that!

First up is Givenchy’s Mister Radiant Body – Limited Edition (£32.50, debenhams.com, out May, part of the new Croisieres collection) This is just brilliant – it’s a shimmering body glow, with a featherweight texture, and a body reinterpretation of the original Mister Radiant product. The formula of this transparent gel with high water content releases beads of colour and antioxidant vitamins onto the skin. The little beads ‘pop’ on the skin and release their pigments and pearlescence. The lovely gel then leaves a natural tan on the skin. It smells delightful, with frangipani oils.

Champney’s Mediterranean Bliss Shimmering Body Oil (£10, champneys.com, boots.com) is  infused with scents of Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood and Patchouli essential oils which help leave your skin feeling moisturised with a subtle gold shimmer perfect for summer evenings and occasions. This is just perfect for taking on holiday to add a gorgeous bit of shimmer when you’ve got that little bit of tan.

Really makes me want to get in my mum’s suitcase now!
