Eye Cream...is it worth it?

1 min read

I have a ‘thing’ about eye creams. I go through phases of using them. I get loads to try, but I always forget to incorporate it into my beauty routine (which already includes around six trillion products at times!). But I have been trying a few new eye creams, and am happy to report that this Zelens Triple Action, Advanced Eye Cream, is a good’un!

Created by Dr Marko Lens, this is part of a whole range of his products. He’s a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He’s an expert, internationally renowned, in the field of skin cancer and skin ageing, and he has a Master of Science degree from Harvard and a PhD from Oxford Uni in the field of skin cancer.

So, he knows his stuff. When I first used this eye cream, the first thing I noticed was the texture – it’s really nice to apply, and it feels gel-like, but more textured if that makes sense? It’s not completely ‘smooth’.

It contains something called SNAP-8 which is an octapeptide, with a strong Botulinum-like anti-wrinkle activity. It has other peptides, as well as the standard Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E, and also has a blend of plant extracts. It’s not cheap. This little pot of cream is £75.

However, I’ve been using it for a few weeks, and I do feel that my eye area is revitalised – the skin appears more lifted and luminous. I have to say I am impressed. Now I’m off to try out the rest of his range!
