There goes the sun....here comes the bronzer!
So, it seems the sunny weather is leaving us for a while – today looks like being the last sunny day for a while. But there’s no reason you can’t keep a little bit of sunshine feeling with you with Guerlain’s gorgeous Terracotta 2012 collection.
Available from April, just as the sun disappears, this lovely collection contains beautiful bronzer, blush and tan-enhancing suncare, for when that big yellow thing comes back again! Terracotta by Guerlain first appeared in 1984, a gorgeous amber powder that added a hint of sun to every skin.
This Sun In The City collection for 2012 is a prelude to a summer tan, essentially. Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder (£33.50) is a unique combination of bronzing shades, vibrant colours and fine pearlescent particles. It comes in four shades – Blondes 02, with pink accents and soft tanned tones, Brunettes 03 with coral touches and warm shades, which were first created in 2006, and now Sun Blondes 04 and Sun Brunettes 05, in brighter pink and coral colours, with heightened bronzed shades, for 2012.
To apply it perfectly, use the Terracotta Brush Retractable Bronzing Powder Brush (£26). This Kabuki brush, which is inspired by brushes used by actors in traditional Japanese theatre, makes it possible to crush and perfectly smooth the bronzing pigments over the skin evenly for a luminous finish.
The Terracotta Blush Sun Shimmer Highlighter (£28) is a mother-of-pearl concentrate which instantly illuminates the cheekbones, giving them gorgeous colour. It comes in two shades Sunny Pink, for blondes, and paler skins, and Spicy Coral for brunettes, and darker skin-tones. You can use this gorgeous blush as a highlighter and also on the eyelids as a shadow.
Terracotta Sun In The City Golden Glimmer Powder (£43) is for face and body, and has a light, golden shimmer to it, thanks to metallic gold mother-of-pearl particles. And Terracotta Sun Sun Moisturiser Tan Booster (£28) is a limited edition sunscreen which comes in two formulas, Sun Blondes SPF 30 and Sun Brunettes SPF15, with UVA and UVB filters, as well as containing the Guerlain Tan Booster complex, which encourages a tan to develop.
