Neons and Nudes

There are two big beauty trends in terms of colour this season and Bobbi Brown’s Spring collection covers both of them – Neons and Nudes.

And Boots No7’s latest colour collection – Floral Brights –  does almost exactly the same – mixing bold, vivid brights, with subtle nude shades.

The Nude part of Bobbi’s collection is showcased with, what else, a palette! The Ultra Nude Eye Palette (£39) contains six classic Bobbi shades across the nude spectrum, from light to dark. The Neon part comes from three gorgeous Lip Gloss (£17) shades – Citrus, Cosmic Pink and Ultra Violet, which are sheer. But if you really want to crank up the Neon volume, then try the Atomic Orange or Neon Pink shades of the new Lip Color (£18). (There is also a Uber Beige if you want it!)

Nude Peach and Nude Pink Blush (£18) complement the brightly accented eyes and lips, and I adore the Ultra Violet Shimmer Wash and Bluebell Eyeshadow (£15.50) additions to the range. And there is also a new Ink Liner (£18.50) in Really Black, which is just perfect for a neon or a nude look!

For No7, Lisa Eldridge has created a similar palette of bright and muted mix – there’s an Enlightening Highlighter (£13), a lovely Brightening Eye Palette (£13) and two bold Cream Blush (£10) colours – Blooming Pink and Blossoming Pink – one for a full-on flourish of colour, the other for a natural coral flush.

And there are similar Lipstick (£10) shades – Blooming Pink to blow the cobwebs away, and Blossoming Pink to complement a nude look.
