Beauty Trends at the Golden Globes

1 min read

The first big red carpet of the season on Sunday night at the Golden Globes gave a great insight into what’s going to be big news in the beauty world this year – and it’s definitely all about the 1960s.

Nicole Richie, Zooey Deschanel, Reece Witherspoon and more all went for bouffant hair, fringes, and, on the makeup front, eyeliner and pale lips.

Pale lips definitely reigned, with only Hollywood vamp Angelina Jolie wearing bright red, and Bridesmaids star Maya Rudolph sporting a bold, brave pink which I really liked.

But Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Zooey Deschanel, and even Madonna all pared it right down with smokey eyes and pale lips. Skins were dewy as well – and the new BB creams that are everywhere, (and on here in another post today!), will give you that very look.

Charlize Theron and Michelle Williams sported headbands – trend alert right there, and a good one – easy to wear in any length of hair.

But I absolutely loved Zooey’s Tuxedo nail art the most  – adding a bit of fun to a red carpet occasion. Can’t wait for the Oscars next month now!
