DIY Nail Art with Andrea Fulerton

1 min read

I love doing my nails. When I get the time, there’s nothing more fun than sitting down creating. It’s so easy these days too, with so many amazing nail products on the market to create that look. Of course, there are loads fabulous manicure offers on 5pm Health and Beauty to choose from when you really want pampered, but if you want to have a go, it’s pretty easy to do so.

The latest kit I’ve been using is the Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique For Your Nails Only Flick, Stripe and Glitter kit (£9.99, superdrug.com). I haven’t experimented with the glitter yet, but I have created stripes as you can see from the picture below!

It really wasn’t hard to do, and took about 10 minutes, and a steady hand! I used a red polish as a base (this one was Boots No7 Stay Perfect in Pillar Box) and then I followed the instructions on the back of the box.

The polishes in this kit come with really thin, long brushes, for nail art. I started with the back, and just flicked from outside in, creating small stripes. Then I used the silver, and then the gold glittery colours and added random stripes around the black. Then I used a top coat to seal it all, and three days later, it’s still going strong!

I think the final effect is pretty cool, don’t you?!
