Bumble & Bumble Mend My Hair!

2 min read

If you’re like me, you’ve probably got a favourite brand of haircare, and stick with them. I have been a Paul Mitchell fan for years now.

So, when Bumble & Bumble came back on my radar last week I wasn’t hugely keen to give them a go. But,with a brand that was founded over 30 years ago, and whose Surf Spray was the first ever hair product I truly fell in love with as a beauty journalist, I guessed my hair would  be in safe hands!

I was given the Mending family, as my hair has been chemically processed a few times! The products contain things like Pantethine, Pro-Vitamin B5, Phytantriol and Panthenyl Ethyl Ether which work hard to penetrate to the core of the hair and mend and strengthen where the cortex is weakest.

I used the Mending Shampoo (£21), Mending Conditioner (£23) and Mending Complex (£23) and I have to say, my hair looks AMAZING! I was genuinely thrilled at the results. The shampoo and conditioner were great to use, and contain all sorts of lovely hair ingredients, like Wheat Germ Proteins, and Panthenol for improving the texture of the hair, and restoring lost lipids.

But I think it was the Mending Complex that I really loved – you apply this to your hair after washing, and you can use it daily if you like. It invisibly coats and seals the hair cuticle, and it protects against heat damage from straighteners, and keeps flyaways in check. And it really does!

There is also a Mending Masque (£27) in the range, but I haven’t tried that yet. I can’t wait to now though!

Then, just to finish it off, I added a few spritzes of their new Shine On (and on) Finishing Spray £20, pictured above).

Lighter than a serum, this really made my hair shine. And three days before my six-weekly appointment, when my colour is a bit faded, and my hair’s not usually the best, I think it looks pretty great!

Bumble & Bumble is now available in selected John Lewis stores nationwide, including Aberdeen and Glasgow. Find out more on bumbleandbumble.com
