Body Beautiful with Emma Hardie!

If you know me, or even just read the Cleansers post on here last week, you will know I ADORE Emma Hardie products. The celebrity facialist is an inspirational woman, who has suffered debilitating illness, but managed to get herself through it, and create a wonderful brand of skincare, including her Moringa Balm, which has changed my beauty routine forever.

So, I was delighted when I received the two latest products in her range, and her first for the body to try. The Natural Lift and Sculpt Body Treatment (£46) and the Natural Lift and Sculpt Body Butter (£49).

Firstly, they are big old tubs of product. Don’t you think there’s something decadent and really appealing about sticking your hand in a pot of product as opposed to squeezing it out of a tube?! I know I do.

Anyway, the Body Treatment is a deep cleansing, luxurious mud-based scrub combining fine rose and china clays with detoxifying Himalayan salt and exfoliating granules of organic red corn.It also contains purifying Moringa and is is enriched with sweet almond oil leaves. It’s a lovely pale, pale pinky colour, and it’s so light and fluffy, it’s hard to describe it – like the lightest mousse you’ll ever see!

You take a big scoop, apply it all over your body, and massage it in, paying attention to rough patches on elbows. Then you rinse it off. If you want to use it as a mask, apply it to areas of concern and leave for up to five minutes, then loosen the product up again with water, massage and then rinse. Emma recommends this as a perfect treatment for your back, so get someone to help!

“This body scrub is perfect as a back treatment mask to help purify and detox congested and blemished skin,” Emma says. “The highly absorbent properties help to draw out excess oil, dirt and grime and the Moringa extract has enhanced skin cleansing benefits and protective, anti-pollution properties.”

The Body Butter is nourishing and hydrating, and is just so luxurious you will want to use tons! But, you don’t need loads, and you can double layer it for extra hydration. It contains shea butter and exotic Inca Inchi oils from Peru. It’s rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and has Vitamin E. It’s brilliant on dry, damaged and sensitive skin.

“Body products are best applied directly after a shower or bath when the skin is still damp,” says Emma. “Using luxurious ‘feel-good’ aromatic products encourages the self-practice of massage which helps to promote the removal of excess toxins, encouraging a firm, toned appearance, thoroughly moisturised and softened skin.”

Both products are scented with aromas of citrus essential oils softened with floral notes of rose and jasmine, on a base of cedar-wood. They are absolutely gorgeous and truly indlugent. Pop them on your Christmas list, or treat yourself now!
