Have you got your tickets for 5pm’s Lancome Beauty Event next Tuesday (November 22).It’s at SoHo in Miller Street, Glasgow, and looks like being a fun night -you can take the stress out of Christmas shopping by purchasing a Lancome fragrance set, make up set or a skincare set for a loved one, or perhaps even to treat yourself! Also, enjoy a make up demonstration by an award winning Lancome beauty specialist. Tickets are £10 and can be booked through 5pm.

Which brings me nicely to this absolutely lovely limited edition collection new to Lancome this month, created in collaboration with Kate Winslet and her Golden Hat Foundation. Kate started the foundation after she narrated the Icelandic documentary – A Mother’s Courage: Talking Back to Autism (or The Sunshine Boy) – in which she followed the story of a child with autism.

Touched by this boy’s life, she wanted to become more involved and began by developing a book project (to be published in the near future) which brings together self-portrait photographs by celebrities from the art and film world, each wearing the foundation’s symbolic hat.

She then went on to set up her own foundation, naming it after the poem The Golden Hat, written by Keli Thorsteinsson, the child featured in the documentary.

This non-profit foundation aims to better the lives of autistic children by removing or limiting the barriers they face. The makeup collection comprises three pieces – The stunning Golden Hat Blush Palette (£34) is a creative interpretation of the original Golden Hat and the symbol of Kate Winslet’s foundation.

The light, sparkling pink shade delivers a soft and delicate glow while the golden shade enhances and warms the complexion.

The iconic L’Absolu Rouge lipstick (£19.50), shade 132 is a bold red, and has a matching Le Vernis nail polish (£15) in 102. All these products are embossed with the foundation’s logo and Kate Winslet’s signature.

Lancôme promises to donate at least 150,000 euros of its sales profits to the Golden Hat Foundation.
