Moisturiser Amnesty - today!

1 min read

If you are in Glasgow then head along to Buchanan Galleries from today, until Sunday, and trade in any old moisturiser for a  brand new, full-size 200ml bottle of Vaseline Essential Moisture Body Lotion.*

And don’t say you can’t find one, because according to a study by Vaseline, Glasgow women waste a staggering £147,000 on unused beauty products! So, Vaseline has launched its body lotion amnesty to declutter the nation’s bathroom cabinets whilst raising money for local charities.

Women from Glasgow waste £146,927.69 a year on unused beauty products, with women in the city spending on average £196k on their beauty regime, 75% of which is left gathering dust in their bathroom cabinet, according to a study by Vaseline. How awful is that? Are you guilty?!

The Vaseline Essential Moisture Body Lotion Amnesty will be touring the UK between the November 4th and 27th , and will visit four cities. Glasgow is the first, this weekend, and then it’s Manchester, Birmingham and London. Local charities in each of the four locations will benefit from a generous donation from the skincare brand, with the region collecting the most bottles receiving a top cash donation of £15,000.

The chosen charity in Glasgow is The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, which helps patients with life-limiting or terminal illnesses to achieve the best quality of life possible. The three runners-up will receive a donation of £2,000.  All bottles donated will be recycled.

So, get an old bottle out of the cupboard and go and swap it for the Vaseline lotion which is super kind to the skin at this time of year.
