There’s always a lot going on in the beauty world at Christmas, so I thought I’d bring you a wee round-up of some beauty news to end the week.

 

*It’s been all about Marilyn Monroe this week with the release tonight of the movie ‘My Week With Marilyn’ starring Michelle Williams as the blonde bombshell.

Marilyn’s curls are copied the world over, with all manner of tongs and curlers, setting lotions and sprays. But  now there’s an even better way to do it – with Mark Hill’s AMAZING Professional Glam Rock Rollers (£44.99, boots.com).

These jumbo rollers are HEATED VELCRO ROLLERS! Why did no one think of it before now?! I’ve wanted these since I first saw them at a press day in July – and trust me, they are fab!

*Marilyn’s classic makeup look – a particular favourite of mine, is pretty easy to copy. Red lipstick, black eyeliner and mascara, strong brows, dewy skin and a peachy blush. We showed you how to get it on the cheap on yesterday’s Beauty Bargain post.

*I will never forget the first bottle of Bumble & Bumble’s iconic Surf Spray back in the early Noughties.
