The most expensive foundation ever?

2 min read

Continuing the skin/foundation theme, this post is about what must be the most expensive foundation ever!  The new Skinleya Anti-aging Lift Foundation from Sisley comes in at £110. Yes, you read that right, £110. The reason of course is that it contains the same technology as their anti-ageing cream, Sisleya Global Anti Age which comes in at over the £200 mark.

I’ve used the cream and now the foundation, and whilst I really can’t say if they are worth the money or not, this foundation is beautiful. Firstly, its coverage is pretty sheer, and the radiance is really obvious, that’s things called silicone elastomers at work, creating a veil which reflects the light brilliantly.

It contains silicone gum, which means that it has a really silky texture, and it goes on easily.

In a sense, it is similar to the Blemish Balm I blogged about this morning – but also has technology which allows it to diffuse light in all directions, effectively blurring fine lines and wrinkles. It’s all about foundations that do more than just cover. And this does a lot more than that.

It comes with its own little brush, which is designed to smooth the foundation over cheekbones, chin and forehead, from the middle the outside of the face. It’s really simple to use. You only need a small amount as well, which is a good thing at this price!

Obviously, all the benefits of the anti-ageing cream are in the foundation, and if you are a Sisley fan, you are going to love this. It is a subtle effect, gives great luminosity and is gorgeous to wear. You can really feel the tightening effect when you apply it, so it must be doing something!
