Blemish Balm - the beauty buzzword

1 min read

It’s going to be all about the skin this week – I’ve had so many new foundations, creams, serums, etc, to try out recently, I don’t know what to use. First up is Boots 17’s Blemish Balm, or BB cream, or ‘All in one Magic Makeup’, as they are marketing it.

Blemish Balm – BB cream really is this year’s beauty buzzword. The product originates in Asia, and is a sort of ‘do everything’ product. Basically they give coverage, as well as moisturising, adding radiance, giving help to the skin’s complexion, and offering SPF protection. Garnier’s Miracle Skin Perfector (£9.99) is the one that’s been on the market here for a while.

Some of the big companies do have them on sale in Asia, and I’m certain there will be European and American releases at some point soon. But 17’s will hit the stores on November 2, at just £6.99.

I’ve been using this for around a month now, and I have to say I am hugely impressed. As these creams traditionally have oil control I was a bit worried, my skin being dry in parts, but I needn’t have worried.

On top of my usual moisturiser, I’ve found 17’s BB Cream to give me brilliant coverage, with no tightness. It feels lovely on – exceptionally smooth, and it really doesn’t look like traditional foundation.

Blemish Balms are a beauty secret that you really do have to discover!

Boots 17 BB Blemish Balm, SPF25, £6.99, boots.com, from November 2.
