Plantscription for Eyes

If you are a regular reader, then you’ll know how much I love Origins, and how wonderful I think their Plantscription Anti-ageing Serum is. So, I was beyond thrilled a couple of months ago when I was sent a sample of the new Plantscription Anti-aging eye treatment.

I had had a funny feeling there would be additions to the Plantscription range – they’re not going to find a new wonder ingredient like Anogeissus Tree Bark and use it in just one product now, are they?

But, I have to say, after my initial excitement, I just can’t quite muster as much enthusiasm for this eye cream as I can for the serum.

Firstly, it’s taken me about 20 years to actually come around to using an eye cream.

I started earlier this year when lack of sleep and a bout of sickness had left with me dark circles for the first time ever.

I used a few different creams, and settled on Good Skin Labs Eyliplex-2 which I felt worked on the darkness and the puffiness, and just felt lovely to apply.

But for the purposes of work, I ditched that and started with this new cream. I don’t have anything negative to say about it, but I also can’t find anything amazing to say about it either. It’s an eye cream, it feels nice when applied, and my circles didn’t get worse, and there were no untoward effects. (It claims to help diminish the appearance of crow’s feet, reduce the appearance of under eye cross hatching and smooth the appearance of crepey lids, as well as lift and firm with just four weeks use.)

If you love the Plantscription Anti-aging serum as much as me, you will probably like the eye cream as well, but I hope if they release another product in this range it thrills me a little bit more.

Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging eye treatment (£35) is available later this month (September), from Origins counters, and origins.co.uk
