Bobbi's Marrakesh...

2 min read

Okay, two posts today on Autumn Winter collections – both hugely different! First up, it’s Bobbi Brown’s Marrakesh Chic Collection.

Bobbi Brown is always a bit too subtle for me. She travelled to Morocco for a week-long bike tour a few years ago, and after stopping at a marketplace in Marrakesh, was inspired by jars filled with saturated pigments. mounds of fabric in the most vibrant hues and burlap sacks of Anise, cumin and turmeric spices, as well as antique woven kilim rugs in beautifully weathered colours.

So, she created this collection of eyeshadows and ipstricks. It’s very pretty, very wearable, but for me, just that little bit safe – and certainly doesn’t scream ‘Marrakesh’. But hey, I’ve never been, so what do I know?!

I do know that the gorgeous Rich Color Eye Shadow (£15 each) comes in Sand Dune, Pink Silk, Rich Kashmir, Desert Lily, Rich Slate, Wine, Coffee Bean and Royale. The colour palette ranges from palest pinks and lilacs, through to deep berries, purples and browns. The shadows are heavily pigmented and so soft and easy to apply with brushes or fingers. The idea is to not be to precise; just swipe it on, for the most modern look

There’s a new Lip Color (£18) in Desert Plum (left) which sets the berry lips trend this Autumn – gorgeous colour and matte texture. The Limited Edition Metallic Lip Color (£18) in Violet Glaze (right) is really shimmery and has a medium coverage.

There’s the new Rich Lip Color SPF12  in Desert Rose  (middle) – creamy, emollient, and probably the most perfect pinky-nude I’ve seen in a while.

And then there is the Creamy Lip Color (£18) in Pale Plum and Pink Blossom – new shades of the lip product that combines rich colour with long-lasting wear and shine.

If you love Bobbi, this collection will not disappoint!
