Refine those pores

Pores. Essential to us, but the bane of our lives as we get older, ladies, right? As a child, they’re virtually invisible and our skin looks porcelain smooth. But as we age, oil production fluctuates due to hormonal changes, cell maturation becomes erratic, cell renewal becomes irregular and skin dehydration increases. All of this makes our pores less tight, and studies show that between the age of 25 to 50 300,000+ pores on our face typically double in size!

But don’t panic! There are of course beauty products to help, and Clinique has two new to the market this Friday. The Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum (£36.50) and the Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector (£18) are both designed to help reduce the appearance of those pesky pores.

The Serum contains a unique Pore Resurfacing Complex which supports cell maturation, balances oil production and keeps skin smooth. Use it daily under your moisturiser, and see if the claims that the visible appearance of pores is reduced by 58% in just two weeks are true.

I am loving the other product – the Instant Perfector. It claims to reduce the appearance of pores by over 50% and your skin does feel smoother when you apply it. It comes in three tones- Invisible Bright, Invisible Light and Invisible Deep. It adds no colour, just conceals invisibly, and you can wear it under OR over foundation, and use it on the T-zone or the whole face, whatever suits.

Both products are available at Clinique counters and online, nationwide, from Friday August 5.
