Pink Hair Fun!

2 min read

I’ve always fancied having pink hair. But it always seemed a step too far into the ‘quirky’ even for me and my red locks!

It’s forever been a celebrity favourite though, with Kelly Osbourne, Gwen Stefani, and,er, Pink, all having reached for the fuchsia or salmon in the past.

This year one of the poor contestants on Britain’s and Ireland’s Next top Model has been given a pink barnet in the makeover – never a good look for a working model.

And more recently, Sienna Miller, Katy Perry and Glee’s Dianna Agron have all been sporting the girliest shade of hair colour.

Now, if you fancy having a go at pink, but just for a bit of fun, then why not try some Xtreme Hair Art sprays, which cost just £4.07, and with a bit of instruction you could recreate one of the celeb looks!

We asked celebrity hair and makeup artist, Lorraine Milligan, who has made over Alexa Cheung no less (though we can’t imagine her ever buying into a pink hair trend!), to give us some tips.

Pink hair is a huge trend, and it’s a fun thing to have a go at. Using Colour Xtreme sprays in purple or pink, section your hair off from to the top, and lightly spray underneath layers first, working through hair sections. Spray at arm’s length. For a more intense colour, layer all over again.

“Vibrant fuchsia or purple will look fab with a medium, more olive complexion, and medium to brown dark hair.

“Blondes will suit a baby pink. To achieve this, you should prep the hair with the Colour Xtreme White Spray, and any colour you apply on top will be a more pastel shade.

“Once the spray is on, brush with a soft bristled brush, and smooth over with serum if needed, you can then style as normal, or twist into a bun or top knot.”

We’ve tried these sprays, and they are pretty impressive – the colour washes out easily as well, so there’s no panic and no colour commitment!
