Instant Definition for Eyes

2 min read

I think the beauty boffins have spent the last few years doing nothing but creating new mascaras! Here’s yet another one – this time from Clarins, and similar to the BeneFit They’re Real, that I blogged about the other week, this Instant Definition Mascara has a wand that has two parts to it.

There’s a normal brush section, topped with a vertical section for adding definition and length to the lashes.

This one differs from BeneFit in that the top part is thinner and longer, and it is a little bit more fiddly to use. It is good for getting into the inner corners though.

The results are fabulous. It’s the deepest black and it’s long lasting, doesn’t smudge and I think gives a decent length and volume.

In the photo of my eyes, above, I’ve teamed the new Clarins mascara with their new Instant Liner. Wow. I’ve fallen in love with this product after just two days. It is so easy to use, and the results are stunning.

It has a fine, flexible, precision tapered foam applicator – it is’t rigid like some, doesn’t move too much like brushes can, and the inky black line it gives just doesn’t budge!

The only issue I have had is removing the mascara and liner – they come off easily with my cleanser, but boy there’s a big black mess on my face, the cotton wool, the sink, everywhere! But just shows how much amazing colour and depth there are in both these products!

Clarins  Instant Liner, £19.50 and  Instant Definition Mascara, £19,  are available now
