Illamasqua Skin Base - like a Blemish Balm

1 min read

What’s a Blemish Balm? You won’t be asking that question soon when they hit our shores and stores later this year. Blemish Balm is the latest buzzword in beauty. Massive in Asia, it’s a sort of wonder-product that does it all. Basically it’s a tinted moisturiser with lots of additional properties – brightening skincare ingredients, an SPF, anti-ageing elements, and sometimes healing properties too, to help deal with acne, dehydration, etc.

Illamasqua have been inspired by Blemish Balms, and have introduced their new Skin Base Foundation – a brand new, refined formula, unlike anything else on the UK market. It just dropped on my desk this morning, so excuse the poor photo, my skills aren’t great.

But, this foundation is. It’s like nothing you will ever have used before. It’s a water in silicone based formula that works as skincare and foundation. You can use it as a primer, liquid concealer or a foundation and trust me, it really does melt into the skin when applied leaving you with this amazing skin tone, and an undetectable base.

It’s suitable for all skin types. I popped it on this morning, and it feels amazing – smoothing the skin, and softening and conditioning as well.

It’s available in 18 shades, incorporating every tone, and priced at £25 for 100ml, from Illamasqua counters nationwide, and online at Illamasqua.com. You can also find out about local offers and events at the Glasgow counter, by going to their Facebook page.

And, if you are intrigued by Blemish Balms, then keep coming back to the blog where I’ll being more info about them soon!
