Autumnal hues to beat summer blues...

I don’t know about you, but this ‘summer’ we’ve been having has made me feel very autumnal! And tomorrow I’m off to a Christmas press show in London! So, today I’ve decided to embrace the autumn and give you a sneaky peek of Clinique’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, which actually hits the shops on August 1, so you don’t have that long to wait!

It’s called The New Black, and is inspired by a Clinique cult classic – Black Honey. Back in 1971, the new Black Honey shade of lip gloss became a massive success, and in 1989, it was launched as an Almost Lipstick, and proved to be so successful that Clinique have never gotten rid of their iconic berry shade, just changed its formula through the years.

Now, they’re launching a whole collection inspired by it. There will be four new Limited Edition products – Colour Surge Eyeshadow Quad (£23), pictured – a gorgeous palette that contains four complementary shades; Gradient Powder Blush (£24); High Impact Mascara  (£15); and a new format of the Black Honey lip colour in Dual Ended Almost Lipstick and Long Last Glosswear SPF15 (£17), pictured.

The New Black is flattering to all skin tones, and is a very wearable collection. Brush-On Cream Liner (£13.50) and Almost Lipstick (£15) are both also available in the Black Honey shade.

The New Black will be available at Clinique counters and online, from August 1
