Festival Hair needs fixed!

Glastonbury opens its gates today to mark the start of the festival season proper – with Scotland’s biggest festival, T in the Park, coming up in July. Now, if you’ve ever been at a festival you’ll know that showering or washing, never mind washing your hair is pretty much out of the questions. So, wipes are a musthave item, and so is a dry shampoo.

There are loads of dry shampoos on the market these days – they’re brilliant for adding volume to your hair, as well as absorbing oil when you just don’t have time to wash.

Batiste Boho (1. £2.25) is ideal for festival-going with its sandalwood and patchouli scent. It’s easy to use, absorbs oil, and won’t take up much room in your bag. label. m Dry Shampoo from Toni & Guy (2. £9) is another spray formula, a bit more expensive, but it is really good- and leaves your hair with a soft, velvety finish.

Ojon Full Detox Rub-Out Dry Cleansing Powder (3. 18) is one of two Ojon products available (there is also a spray) in this range. The dry powder is applied to the root and massaged then brushed through the hair. Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Volume Dry Shampoo (4. £5.10) is suitable for colour treated hair, and can be used to achieve that messed up look. Which is what festival hair is all about really, is it not?!

Of course, when you come home from your festival, make sure you’re booked in for a cut and blow dry.  There’s a great deal for Glasgow Southsiders, at Mirror Image on 5pm Health and Beauty at the moment for a cut, blow dry, glass of bubbly and chocolates for just £15 instead of £40. Perfect way for you and your hair  to recover from your festival madness!
