Chanel Beauty Boutique opens in Glasgow

There’s something a bit decadent about Chanel cosmetics, don’t you think? I always feel great when I slick on a lipstick with the famous interlinked C’s on the packaging, or use some of their excellent Precision skincare. And who doesn’t love a skoosh of No.5? If it was good enough for Marilyn Monroe…

So, how excited was I to hear about the brand new, all-singing, all-dancing Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Boutique just opened in Glasgow’s Frasers? It’s the only one outside London, and it offers so much, I don’t know where to start! Okay, so, firstly, the gorgeous design; from the iconic beige and gold colours, to the tweed textures, it just screams Chanel.

Housed in the 75 square metre space, is The Olfactory Bar, a new fragrance space where the innovative, patented ceramic blotter system, allows each fragrance to be experienced without the need for spraying. How amazing is that?! It means the air around remains neutral, and you can experience each fragrance without intrusion from another.

And there are even more fragrances to try now, with the  Les Exsclusifs de Chanel collection of 12 exclusive fragrances being available in Scotland for the first time. The most recent of these is Beige, created by Jacques Polge, Master Perfumer at Chanel. It’s an elegant, white floral fragrance, and pays tribute to one of Coco Chanel’s favourite colours.

The gorgeous beauty space will showcase exclusive creations by Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, previously only available in London. The space is set to host special beauty and fragrance events, animations and guest speakers, and we’ll make sure we bring you news of these as and when they happen.
