Heavenly Hair

Thick, luscious locks are a sign of youthful, healthy, glamorous hair – but some of us need a little help to reach our full potential! If your hair is more flat and limp that bouncy and full, there are a few tips and tricks that can transform it to a goddesss like mane!

A quick simple technique for added volume and root lift is back combing. Using a fine toothed comb, lift sections from the crown area and comb backwards towards the root, set with some hair spray, then smooth down. For all over volume, try sprinkling a little Osis Dust it, (available from Schwarzkopf salons and Salon Services) through the roots of your hair and shake in long-lasting hold.

Hair extensions are fantastic to give thicker, longer hair and can be matched perfectly to your own hair colour and cut to a style of your choice by your hairdresser.

Clip in extensions are perfect to add in for nights out , or whenever needed without the expense and commitment of more permanent salon hair extensions. Salon Services and Sally’s Hair and Beauty sell a variety of brands made form either synthetic or real human hair.

For a super fast look, try a Jessica Simpson Hair piece

This is much easier and quicker than the clip in extensions, as the hair is already dried in a bouncy blow dry and only one section of hair needs to be added in. Simply set your hair in large rollers, then clip the hair piece in under the top section of your hair!

If a more permanent look so what you are after, then there are many salons offering glue or bonded hair extensions, which last around 3 months and prices start around £300.

The newest technology in attaching hair extensions is RINEX – The are attached with a plastic loop then a metal bond, which means no glue and no damage to your hair. When they have grown down your own hair, they are removed and the same extensions are reinstalled. A great investment, as get much longer than 3 months out of them unlike glue in hair extensions. Currently available at Fake Bake Boutique, Glasgow.
